Our billing philosophy
At this time, Mainestream Health Co. is not in network with any insurance providers. Insurance companies dictate a treatment course or will often only cover certain conditions. This creates space for inadequate or inappropriate patient care, which is our top priority for you.
If your insurance offers coverage for acupuncture, chiropractic, or medical services, we would be more than happy to create a superbill, or a receipt of treatments, for you to submit to your provider for reimbursement.
If you are interested in billing your insurance, please contact your insurance provider prior to your visit to inquire about coverage. We would be more than happy to send you a list of appropriate questions for your best opportunity to get reimbursed.
Forms of payment include cash, check, HSA/FSA funds/card, credit card, or debit card.
Gonstead Chiropractic
Comprehensive health history, bio-structural exam, x-ray examination, and adjustment.
Depending on age & complexity of your child's case the doctor may elect to take x-rays (additional $165).
Acupuncture
For new patients — includes comprehensive health history review and analysis, Traditional Chinese diagnostic evaluation, goal setting, goal-achievement planning, and treatment.
For established acupuncture patients — includes a brief health update, diagnostic evaluation, and treatment with acupuncture, cupping, or a combination of other modalities.
Peptide Therapy
1-on-1 consultation with our medical team to review your history, goals, and baseline labs and build a personalized protocol.
Ongoing physician oversight, protocol adjustments, and support. No long-term contract.
Billed separately from consultation and membership fees. Varies by the specific protocol prescribed. Any supplies you need are provided to you at cost.

In-Office Phlebotomy
Per draw. Lab processing itself is billed separately by the outside laboratory.
Late Cancellation / No-Show Policy
Follow-up appointments: If cancelled within 24 hours of appointment time you will be charged for the cost of that appointment.
New patient exam appointments: If cancelled within 48 hours of appointment time you will be charged for the full exam fee.
Please be advised of the 48-hour cancellation window for new patient exams. We allocate 60–90 minutes for these appointments and are hard to fill on short notice.
This policy helps us ensure that everyone has access to timely appointments and that our team can continue to provide the best possible care. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation!
