Our billing philosophy
At this time, Mainestream Health Co. is not in network with any insurance providers. Insurance companies dictate a treatment course or will often only cover certain conditions. This creates space for inadequate or inappropriate patient care, which is our top priority for you.
If your insurance offers coverage for acupuncture, chiropractic, or medical services, we would be more than happy to create a superbill, or a receipt of treatments, for you to submit to your provider for reimbursement. Please contact your insurance provider prior to your visit to inquire about coverage — we can send you a list of appropriate questions for your best opportunity to get reimbursed.

Transparent pricing
Gonstead Chiropractic
Comprehensive health history, bio-structural exam, x-ray examination, and adjustment.
Depending on age & complexity of your child's case the doctor may elect to take x-rays (additional $165).
Acupuncture
For new patients — includes comprehensive health history review and analysis, Traditional Chinese diagnostic evaluation, goal setting, goal-achievement planning, and treatment.
For established acupuncture patients — includes a brief health update, diagnostic evaluation, and treatment with acupuncture, cupping, or a combination of other modalities.
Peptide Therapy
Direct access to our nurse practitioner and nurse during business hours, follow-up lab reviews, dose adjustments, timely refills, and peptide cycling. No long-term contract — discontinue at any time.
Peptide medications are filled by the pharmacy, and you pay the pharmacy directly. Injection supplies are provided at our cost. Varies by the specific protocol prescribed.

Hormone Therapy
For patients taking oral micronized progesterone on its own. Includes routine check-ins, lab reviews, and support. No long-term contract — discontinue at any time.

Filled by the pharmacy, and you pay the pharmacy directly. Varies by the specific prescription.

Nurse Practitioner Services
A single fee, paid at your first visit, covering your initial exam, your blood draw, and the 30-minute follow-up appointment where we review your results and outline your plan. Lab work is billed separately. This is the starting point for most patients establishing care with our Nurse Practitioner, and the appointment that lays the groundwork before starting hormone therapy or peptide therapy.

In-Office Phlebotomy
Per draw. Lab fees are billed separately, and you'll receive the lab invoice directly by email.
Late Cancellation / No-Show Policy
Follow-up appointments: cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment time are charged the cost of that appointment.
New patient exams: cancelled within 48 hours of the appointment time are charged the full exam fee. We allocate 60–90 minutes for these appointments and they are hard to fill on short notice.
This policy helps us ensure that everyone has access to timely appointments and that our team can continue to provide the best possible care. We appreciate your understanding!
