Traditional Chinese Medicine

About Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a foundational therapy within Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), a complete medical system that has been refined for over two thousand years. From the TCM perspective, health is a state of free-flowing Qi — and disease is what happens when that flow is disrupted.

From a Western perspective, acupuncture works through the nervous system. Specific points downregulate sympathetic ("fight or flight") activity and activate the parasympathetic ("rest and digest") state where healing and repair can finally happen.

Most patients feel deeply relaxed during and after treatment — what we call the "acu-nap" — and improvements in sleep, digestion, and pain often follow within the first few sessions.

Our Modalities

Acupuncture

Hair-thin needles placed at specific points create the 'acu-nap' state and shift your body toward homeostasis.

Cupping

Glass cups with gentle suction support circulation, lymphatic flow, and the body's detoxification pathways.

Gua Sha

A scraping tool releases stagnation, improves circulation, and quiets local inflammation in muscles and fascia.
